If you are a Photographer and scroll through the crazy amount of photo's out and about you are bound to see tons of these types of photos above. That's me at the end of the dock looking like a crazed mad man staring off into the vast beauty of Lake George in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains in New York. This is what we call adding the "Human Element" yeah I know you are probably thinking nobody is going to pay for a picture of me looking cool "or creepy" like the above shot. But that isn't who its geared towards. These types of shots are really popular with the social media crowd and that is the name of the game with photography. To be noticed you have to be popular, to be popular you have to have somewhat of a following on social media. Reason number two and possibly the most important reason. Companies buy photos with the human element for advertising purposes and that brings money and Mo Money Mo Problems - Notorious B.I.G just making sure you are still with me. But really it can be anything from you dressed up in some cool hiking gear on top of the summit to a photo of you cutting vegetables (just make sure you have clean attractive hands) So the next time you are planing your next shoot take some time and grab a quick selfie or ask you friend to strike a pose. It may just land you a few more fans or better yet some extra cash to spend on some new gear, or your next trip. If you have any tips please let us know in the comments.
